The fat will not go away

Well I have lost 1.5% of body fat, and a total of 3 pounds. It has taken forever.

But my clothes are fitting different, I feel a bit sexier and I think I see a better shape emerging from the tire section. All good signs.

As a forty year old woman I know there are things against me in this weight loss I seek (I realize I am different as my husband shrinks in front of me, doing the same damn things) image3.jpg

I am being patient (sort of), some things that could be affecting my weight loss are:

Slowed metabolism - it is taking some time to convince my engines to get reved up and to stay there. It is now OK to burn all I put in, no need to save it or pad my butt with it anymore...note to my metabolism.

Stress - influences the production of Cortisol which can work against me and my desire not to have an inflatable device around my middle.

Age - It took years to pile on the poundage, body not giving it up that easily.

Muscles first - I weight train and do cardio. My muscles have decided that they come first and will get all beautiful and toned first then it will be time to remove the fat.

So patience and faith...it will happen, then look out bikini weather...I am wearing one even if I shouldn't.
